What’s New and Coming Up at the Studio
ICYMI, we put on the best workshop over the weekend. It’s for you if you love Tarot and want an accurate interpretation of the Moon Card, not something scary.
Over on Moonbeaming podcast, we are finishing up the most epic deep dive on the Tarot Minors of the year: you can start with the 9 of Wands, or tune into everyone’s bestie the 9 of Swords.
We’ve recently added some new, hand-selected stones to the shop, including Anxiety Slayer: Lepidolite, a supportive anchor for times of overwhelm, mental fatigue, or emotional turbulence. If you’ve been feeling scattered, anxious, or drained, Lepidolite can help you slow down, clear your mind, and regain a sense of calm.
Our Celebrate and Play candles for joyful gatherings or anytime you want a pop of color and levity in your space. Light one to invite a playful energy in; conversations tend to get a little sillier, brighter, and more open when these are glowing.
The Fall session of Clear Channels is now open with early bird pricing available through July 14th. Reserve your spot now to join at a discounted rate.

The theme for July is You Are a Portal.
The theme for July is You Are a Portal. This is a month to transform the energies of some deep-seated patterns. The first step is awareness. The pilot light is getting relit. This is imagination rewilding. This is the entry back into the non-ordinary. (Or to go deeper in, if you never left!)
Through attention and devotion, synchronicities start coming back. Through belonging, the universe rewards you with generosity. Step into the flow of life. Remember who you are and what you wanted before the world flooded in. Remember that you are a portal.
When in doubt, try magic. If you feel disconnected, try ritual. Try what you haven’t tried yet. Be who you haven’t been yet. There are so many other ways to get to where you want to go. You don’t have to get stuck by illusions and rigidity. Open up so that other pathways will emerge.

Cancer
Temperance
There’s not a better month to begin something important than now, Moonchild. You’ve been avoiding action around one of your bigger dreams, because it’s so huge. Where you are is pretty darn good, and it feels selfish to want more. You’ve been through so much, and rocking the boat feels outside of your capacity. Besides, the last time you experienced a big success, a lot of intense unexpected backlash occurred, and you aren’t sure you could bear any more betrayal. You want security and betterment for all, not projections, expectations, and the weirdo behavior of people you barely know.
Isn’t the human psyche funny? If you don’t go for it, it won’t happen, and you won’t be crushed. The Devil you know and all that. But, things will stay the same, and you’ve really changed: the updated version of you is ready for change. The daydreams of what you want are haunting you. Write yourself permission slips to test them out, and watch your sleep improve.
Intentional repetition heals, Moonchild. Start slow, and keep with it. Little by little, flex your creativity, swallow your cringe. Give it your best shot, bit by bit. Let the present be a corrective experience. Don’t keep bringing things that only you remember into a fresh start. Be more concerned with how you feel while moving forward, rather than overly focused on the end goal. You always forget how charming and magnetic you become when you are utterly obsessed with various special interests, a cool new project, or an altruistic new pursuit. Relinquish control and let your creations create the next you.
Journal prompts: What do I want that I believe I can’t have? Why am I putting off a big leap? How can I relax into bunny hops?
Spell ingredients: Taking a break from substances that rattle your nervous system (including screens), lemon water, silent Sundays, stretching, and this podcast episode.
Leo
5 of Wands, Reversed
There’s a cause that keeps calling you, Leo. Maybe it’s a larger, societal issue, maybe it’s more local, but it feels like you’ve been invested in some way for a while. This summer is a time to make a commitment in a more formal way, or whittle down your various humanitarian efforts into something more streamlined.
For all the Leos already involved in causes, this is a reminder that you can’t do it all on your own. You need co-conspirators to carry the load, to keep the momentum going, and to remind you of why you are doing the work you do. If it makes sense, July would be a good time to recruit, connect, or team up with those on the same page as you on a wider level. This goes for all aspects of your life, not just volunteerism or movement work. Stretch your paws out to like-hearted folks of all persuasions.
All summer long, do not isolate yourself. In July, stay away from infighting: if there are some toxic patterns you’ve witnessed within organizations or at work, do not get involved. If it’s not your circus, it’s not your circus. Conversely, if there is anywhere you need to take accountability, this is the month to have a harder conversation or two. Learn from your mistakes by getting clear about how things got unraveled, and what you need to make everything run more smoothly in the future. If it was assumptions, miscommunication, or simply lack of sleep, understand what stops you from greater connections and intimacy.
Journal prompts: What matters most to me, movement-wise? How can I keep communication clean and clear?
Spell ingredients: Cold water, integrity, selenite, best assumptions, and a listen to this podcast.
Virgo
The Emperor
While your season doesn’t take place for a wee bit yet, Mars, the planet of vitality, energy, drive, motivation, and fight just moved into your sign, Virgo. If you’re angry, great. If you’re itchy, even better: Mars wants you to use your passion to create something meaningful. To provide an antidote to that which annoys you. Be precise, and pace yourself. Are you compelled to take action yet? Be specific about what you are building from the start, or else you might say yes to every idea that flits your way, or every invitation you receive: not every spark needs to turn into a fire.
The warning here is to not burn yourself out. Be mindful of taking on extra work or obligations because you are afraid you won’t be valued or liked any other way. As you catch yourself seething, livid, or smoldering with rage, remember that these emotions must be processed, or else you become a walking powder keg. This isn’t about control or repression, it’s about clarity and learning how to channel your energy more effectively, through intention and structure.
July would be a most excellent time to start a devotional practice, or another spiritual pursuit to engage in: think, shrines, energy work, or learning a new divinatory tool. Cultivate something consistent and disciplined, that involves care and stewardship: weight training, fostering animals, or a community garden are all examples of this. This is the perfect time to create structures or outlines for larger-term projects, such as a book, a newsletter, or getting out of debt. Use your power for something future you will be thrilled about starting, even when it was hard. Especially when it was hard, because it taught you the priceless gift of true commitment.
Journal prompts: What longer-term project am I ready to devote myself to? What is my anger telling me to do?
Spell ingredients: Rue, carnelian, deep breathing, work boundaries, and time magic.
Libra
The Wheel of Fortune
This summer marks a huge pivot, a turning point that is made up of equal parts hard work and luck. It would be a shame if you were to look past all the inner, and outer work you did to get to this point. It’s going to be busy, but don’t allow overwhelm to derail you from the fact that you’re now surrounded by so much of what you wanted, for so very long. Take photos and deep breaths.
Odd pangs of nostalgia might creep in through the celebrations. Don’t get caught in the comparison trap: you’ve been there before, and you know that behind a lot of shiny screens, the reality is quite different—and not half as pleasant as most of your days are now. Libra, when you focus more on how life feels, rather than how it looks, your blessings have no end. Continue to lean into all the ways you’ve found to live your best life.
For the next 3 months, put all your energy around this pivot. Do not look ahead, do not plot your next moves: ground into the present harvest. Enjoy the results of all the changes. Make notes—yes, journal, yes, get out your writing software of choice: be clear about what you did to make all this happen, and what the results are. This is truly only the beginning of a longer cycle of upward spiraling.
Journal prompts: How can I enjoy the fruits of the present moment, more? How can I stay centered through all this change?
Spell ingredients: Smiles, red clover tincture, lepidolite, car washes, and pride.
Scorpio
Ace of Cups
When all is quiet and peaceful, when you’re hydrated and well-rested, have had your supplements and green juice and time to stretch, it’s easy to remember that love is your natural state. It’s more than logical to remember that love isn’t something to be weaponized, fought for, or held hostage by sharp claws of control. You can clearly understand that love is like a butterfly, moving from petal to stamen, gliding in the most natural of ways from home to home, owned by nobody. How can you embody this state, more often? Not only for others, but for yourself?
The moment you are not trapped in the past, or in your rumination brain, or logic brain, love will emerge. When you dismantle the drawbridges of defensiveness within, compassion emerges naturally. It’s simple, spiritual math.
July is a most excellent time to examine how one (or more!) family of origin dynamics have impacted how you treat yourself, and where these learned behaviors make their way into relational dynamics. If you have abandonment issues, it’s time to look at them, and what you do to avoid being rejected or abandoned. If you have people-pleasing tendencies, it’s time to look at how you betray yourself to appease others, and potentially, to go into therapy around them. Even the most self-sufficient Scorpion needs help in their healing. Scorpio, you’re brilliant—but your inner child doesn’t respond to intellect, they respond to love, softness, and space. Find time to find people who have the time and space for this. Find time to find the parts of you that can open up, sit with the scared little one, and love them.
Journal prompts: How can I show my little one I love them? How can I ask for help?
Spell ingredients: Tears, waterfall mists, our anxiety slayer, cups, and our Love is Love playlist.
Sagittarius
Queen of Cups
In our most recent workshop about the Moon Card, and the greater constellation of the Tarot 9’s, I shared this quote from Anaïs Nin: There is the whole mystery of growth, of expansion, of deliverance from the traps which life sets us, because life loves the drama of entrapping us and seeing whether we can get out. It’s a game, a game of magic.
Not only is this quote giving major lunar vibes, it is major Queen of Cups energy. When we can be free of a self-imposed limit we’ve put on ourselves, well, that’s instant magic. And July begs you to untangle yourself from at least one emotional maelstrom that has entrapped you, so that you might experience yourself—and the world—as magical, again.
Where to begin? You can try the reflection prompts I shared with the group in the workshop, that so many resonated with: What part of me loves this suffering? What part of me loves this numbing? What part of me loves this drama? What part of me loves this isolation? What part of me is identified with this story?
The opposite will also be the antidote. Flow into the parts of you that love to love. The parts of you that embody magic effortlessly. The resilient parts of you that helped you rise to the challenge, escape, and get out of the trap of the past.
Journal prompts: What part of me loves my current struggle? Where is the part of me that makes magic, and how do I embody them?
Spell ingredients: Rosemary and rosehip tonic, honey, ocean jasper, the Constellation of the 9 Tarot class, and the ocean.
Capricorn
7 of Wands
The burn that you feel is the incineration of false idols and ideas. The fires you’ve walked through, since the last Solstice, have transmuted you into a softer, more resilient, wiser powerhouse. The sizzle you notice in July is the month to own your power, while cleaning up any lingering ego trips, ego deaths, or imbalanced relational dynamics.
In Protection Magic, a course the Moon Studio facilitated years ago, I shared about what happens when we drop the rope in harmful dynamics. Spiritual people don’t hate others, they nothing them. That’s why, so often, someone can be in our lives with great intensity, but when we intentionally step away, and pull our energy back, we never see them again. Ever.
Capricorn, you owe it to yourself to value your energy and time more. People and situations that took place years ago are living rent-free in your head, and it’s costing you. All month long, it would be worth examining your energy, both literal and psychic. When you pull your energy back from conversations with people you don’t even speak to anymore, notice if you even want that energy back in your aura. Chances are, this last stage of energetic refinement will leave you both lighter and stronger. It’s time.
Journal prompts: How much of my behaviors are reactions to intense yet long-gone situations? What has the last 7 months shown me about who I am and what I value?
Spell ingredients: anxiety slayer crystal, and this podcast episode.
Aquarius
7 of Swords
July is all about what is yours as well as what, and how people steal from you. Yes, this could be material, as this is kind of a curse of being an Aquarius placement of any sort. You are so humble, and deeply uninterested in ownership or proving what you create or share is absolutely your original work, that people literally will…forget that things are, in fact, your original work. Some of this is sadly byproduct of colonialism and this epoch of capitalism, and there’s not much you can do about it.
But there are many other kinds of theft, which you are well acquainted with. Psychic theft: how loaded words impact your self-image. The time thefts of drama, trauma, and emotional immaturity. July is a moment to step into your agency and figure out what is yours. Compost all that others have put on you that simply isn’t your business to deal with. Because, Aquarius, you’ve got…serious business to deal with. Both spirituality, and materially.
How can you make your work so original, so singular, that others can only dream of creating something similar? Go all the way into your weirdness and wildness, that which makes you so singular. Make your sources SO unique, no one will find them. A haiku derived from the clicking of a crow’s tongue at sunset? A message whispered to you by your ancestors while at your altar at 3 am? Ai could never.
All of this advice is in lieu of the larger processes you are in right now: there are many Aquarians who are going to be focusing on big, bold moves over the next 7 months. Property purchases. Awesome international trips. Forming non-profits, adopting children, writing pivotal books and/or launching new modalities and businesses. That kind of transformation. You don’t want to be distracted by thieves, parasites, haters, or the evil eye. Seal up all your energy leaks, put in provisions and protections, and move swiftly and lightly. You’ve got ancestral patterns to break, and cool shit to make.
Journal prompts: How can I protect my work by becoming even more original? What big project am I ready to begin this summer?
Spell ingredients: Secrecy, contracts, selenite, nettle tonic, and this podcast episode.
Pisces
The Sun
Pisces, Saturn has left your sign (for a spell) and it’s the summer of rebirth! The Sun card would agree, and she wants you to start simple and start small. Begin by disrupting the snooziest moments with micro bursts of joy and magic.
Sing out loud, out of nowhere. Laugh uncontrollably in the car. Make up dialogues with the bananas at the grocery store. Make awkward jokes in administrative situations. Disarm uncomfortable moments with levity. You were a child once, and you saw the world as an interesting, wonder-filled place filled with art and innocent questions to find answers to. You were a child once, and there were places where you were completely safe.
Over the month, flow the joy into trickier moments: when you catch your body contracting in a work meeting. When a housemate needs to have yet another “conversation” with you. Can you stay calm, open, and keep an undercurrent of humour running through your nervous system? Can you find ways to bring back levity in tense situations? When you find yourself spiraling, figure out how to remind yourself that it isn’t that deep.
Journal prompts: What was my favorite activity to do as a child? What support does my current rebirth need?
Spell ingredients: Laughter, bright fruit, classic children’s music, the Celebrate and Play candle set, and gratitude.
Aries
Death
Last week, at the Glastonbury Festival, the artist Bob Vylan led a chant about ending the genocide after festival officials decided not to air Kneecap’s performance. He got his performance Visa revoked, and was dropped from his agency. He also gained thousands of internet followers overnight, made international news and had the entire crowd chanting along with him. Later, he shared a public statement about “how teaching our children to speak up for the change they want and need is the only way we make this world a better place.”
July is about reflecting upon all that matters to you that will last, and make the world a better place, ultimately. Integrity, legacy, and acting in accordance with your values. Get real about who you want to be known as, and what do you want to be known for: this self-concept and identity piece might be the part that needs the most updating. Then, bit by bit, figure out how to move forward within your capacity, and with the resources you have.
When we make choices that challenge the status quo, other parts of our lives will be impacted. People’s egos will be threatened, and they might confuse their discomfort with you. Understand that backlash is inevitable, particularly when you act with integrity. When you look around at the world, who do you admire? What do they stand for, and what are they doing about it? How impactful are they, and how do they make their impact? What you see are the end results of a lot of deaths for them: relationships that had to end. Self-limits that had to expire. Self-concepts that needed to be updated. Community that needed to reshaped, and rebuilt. Look around at the world you want to exist in more, and consciously choose what you need to let go of in order to step into it with more integrity.
Journal prompts: Who do you admire? What do they stand for? What does that tell you about your values?
Spell ingredients: Lemon balm, celebrity memoirs, selenite, grief, and this podcast episode.
Taurus
3 of Swords
The great news for you in July? You’re leveling up. The bad news? It’s going to require you to face at least one of the ways you’ve been self-sabotaging. Whether it’s bedtime doom scrolling, not prioritizing your dreams, or squashing your dreams with doubt before they can properly seed into the soil, you must face at least one bad habit. It’s not the month to focus on all the ways the world, or other people, have broken your heart, Taurus. It’s time to look at where you have broken your own.
The ability to sit with discomfort isn’t only for this month, gentle one. It’s a skill set that once developed, can never be taken away. The confidence that comes from overcoming doubt or fear is unparalleled. So is admitting to yourself that honestly, after the initial wave of toxic shame or grief passes, taking the right steps in the right direction isn’t as hard as you thought.
It’s not fair that you were never taught young that truly, a lot of life is simply practice, and just about anything—relationships, prayer, finances—are simply skills you can learn. This summer, and really, the rest of the year, is for you to learn the key skills that will get you where you want to be, and where you deserve to flourish.
Journal prompts: What do I really want? What self-sabotaging habit do I need to squash, in order to get it?
Spell ingredients: Bird watching walks, deep breaths, to-do lists, prayer, butterfly hugs, and rose quartz.
Gemini
5 of Swords
Last month, in our Intuition course series, it was truth month. Participants were encouraged to get more truthful, both with themselves, and, potentially, the world around them. One participant shared that she asked for more help from her family when she was sick. Another confided they unraveled slightly through honest inquiry, but it felt necessary. So far, I’ve gotten clear on my values, told police officers I was scared of them, and realized how much my emotional reactivity gets in the way of…well…just about everything. It’s been real. It’s also been completely necessary in order to move forward in a fresh, updated way.
If you haven’t taken the course, Gemini, that’s ok. You can have a Truth Month anytime you want, and hopefully, this can be part of your July. Get honest about what you want. Be truthful about why it’s easier to point fingers and make other people the villains. Be honest about why others might have made you the villain! Get honest about why you don’t like that person, or if they are simply making you feel insecure. Be truthful about why you’ve been avoiding a certain task, or don’t think you are worthy of trying something new. And then, get clear about how many of these “truths” are actually lies. You don’t have to believe them anymore, especially if they don’t support you.
Whether or not you have CPTSD, or are neurodivergent, or simply Going Through A Hard Time, be sure to be gentle on yourself. Maybe a big truth you need to process now is that something happened that really sucked, it wasn’t fair, and you never should have gone through it. Maybe that something is happening right now, and it’s really hard. You’re a person who deserves space and grace. You deserve to believe truths that show you how wonderful you are, and how well you are doing, too. May the truth ultimately, set you free.
Journal prompts: How do I know I am telling the truth? What is my yes, and what is my no?
Spell ingredients: A new, clean journal for positive truths and harder truths, rose quartz, updated contracts, datura tincture, and this podcast episode.
