Welcome to the Venus 3x3: a monthly collection of arts, culture, commerce, and practices that have brought me love, joy, glimmers, inspiration and/or a mild rabbit hole obsession. This is a way for me to keep track of all the love in my life.
At the Studio: ICYMI, our latest public offering is the Highly Sensitive in Relationship. The live enrollment has ended, but you can get the replay, to be delivered next week, here.
Los Angeles: I’m presenting a Mystic Vision workshop at PRS May 4th. Sign up here.
Read on for 3 things, 3 practices, 3 moments: all orienting around love, pleasure, and life force. This is Collection 2. For Collection 1, go here.
3 Things
I am absolutely loving this season! It’s so wholesome, hilarious, and such a beautiful offering of love. It’s such a remedy to all the scary rhetoric coming from Satan RFK Jr. right now. It is hard not to binge it, but I’m titrating the episodes because I kinda don’t want it to end. Some neurotypical folks could stand to learn about relating and connection from the wonderful souls on this show.
The very best shampoo and conditioner I have ever found.
Listen: I know this level of hype is suspect, but it’s true. When my stylist friend first started gushing about JVN’s line, I decided to test out various products. So far, I love the Nourishing Shine Drops and the Embody Shampoo and Conditioner. I have been able to wash my hair less, style it more easily, and multiple people have commented on how good it looks!
No Filter Philosophy
My very talented scroller of a partner sent this account to me. It’s an animated dog skillfully sharing all kinds of psychological and philosophical advice. Give it a whirl and send it to a partner or friend who might enjoy it.
3 Practices
Plantomancy. We’ve heard of bibliomancy, ceromancy (I brought that one up last month), now I’m experimenting with plants. Earlier this year, I decided to buy a few plants for my garden based on simple intuition and vibes. Later, I would look into the meaning. They arrived this month, and they were right on time: 2 kinds of nicotiana, and echinacea.
You might want to see what plants are coming up for you, intuitively guess what they mean for you, or later, look up the meaning. (Side-note-rabbit-hole you may want to avoid: googling “floramancy”!)
Fairy Juice
Last month I shared about how much delight my garden has been giving me.
This month, the share is about how much I’ve enjoyed bringing the garden inside, with a concoction I’ve dubbed “Fairy Juice.” Listen, really it’s just a bouquet of fresh herbs with fresh, filtered water poured over it, but calling it Fairy Juice makes it all more fun and romantic. In the picture below is fresh lemon balm, thyme, lavender, and a smidge of Rosemary. I’ve also been making ice cubes with Calendula flowers, lavender, and other herbs tucked away in them. It’s such a nice, gentle way to ingest both herbs and fresh water, and to remember how much Mother Nature gives us.
(Yes, I am aware that herbalists might call this a “cold infusion,” but it’s not a large enough amount of plant matter nor is it steeped long enough to technically be called that.)
Noticing what it’s like to be you today.
I’m currently writing out all the practices and making all the meditations for our upcoming Intuition class, and a really beautiful prompt I often use, either as a sensation-tracking mechanism, a journaling prompt, or a meditation start, is this one:
What’s it like to be me today?
Try it, and sink in just a little bit deeper with yourself.
3 Moments
This month FLEW. Anyone else?
The 2 Seders: 1 was traditional, to welcome in the holiday of liberation. 1 was more casual, with my favorite Passover recipes: brisket, my special deviled eggs, farro salad, potato kugel, chocolate flourless cake, and of course, gefilte fish. (I think next month, I’ll share my famous deviled eggs recipe: if next month eggs are neither the cost of a pair of shoes, or unsafe to consume, that is!) Of course, there were candles, tons of flowers, and song. Now, it’s time to focus on counting the Omer.
A deep moment of inner teen integration. I had a beautiful series of somatic sessions with a couple of practitioners, where my inner teen showed up. This is the part of me that is linked to my defensiveness and protective tendencies, which I’m consciously working on dissolving through somatics and energy work. Because she’s a survival part, it’s a slower process. Essentially, if I hadn’t resisted and been rebellious, I might not have made it out alive.
In the session, she wanted my love and acknowledgment. As I extended that to her earnestly, I realized that she was also my Inner Artist. I could honor her with my red lipstick, outfits, perfumes and other adornments an altar, creative practices, and passion.
We don’t need to “let go” of protective or maladaptive parts.
We need to thank them for helping us to survive.
We need to listen to them so they can tell you how they want to be acknowledged, honored, and what they want to be turned into next.
When we do energy and archetypal work through the lens of deeply compassionate reparenting, so much can shift. Highly recommend!
An Unexpected Moment of Curiosity That Led to Deep Healing.
Listen: this Libra Full Moon was HEALING. And that often means it is UNEXPECTED. I had many moments of healing around this lunation, one randomly in Anapolis, MD, that began with an innocent inquiry. One day, I might tell the story publicly.
For now, this is an encouragement to look for unexpected healing pockets in the every day, and see what happens when you extend just a smidge more curiosity about the world and those around you.
Those are my shares from a packed month.
What have you been practicing, noticing, loving recently?

One of my favorite things to do right now is to make a tea from hibiscus flowers and add that to the ice tray. It makes these gorgeous red ice cubes you can add to pretty much any drink, and it really helps to cool down too. 💚🌺
I’ve been getting more curious about herbalism, and expanding my herb garden this year. Do you drink the fairy juice?
